I believe we can all agree that a large percentage of little girls strive to be ballerinas. We see them in awe of the grace, the beauty, and the strength, followed by them attempting to stand on their own toes (pointe shoes or not!)
Many programs I have seen throughout my life have been unfortunately confusing as far as how one is to "level up" in especially this specific style of dance.
It is our intention to simplify and make "leveling up" with CREATE's ballet program easy to understand.
First, our ballet program is extensive in the fact that our dancers don't only learn to perform ballet terminology, but they also learn the correct spelling, the definitions, and how to write out each term they are perfecting. Our Self-Published Journals are an incredible tool for all of these things to take place. Included in the journals, is a list of ballet terminology from A-Z. This list will be used at the end of each semester to place students where they can best grow. Whichever number (1-6) is circled most, THAT is the level the student will continue in or progress to, in the following semester.
Note: Pre-pointe will be offered to students who have progressed to level 4.
Be on the lookout for another post regarding how to be supportive to your dancer when they want to go "en pointe!"
